It has one of Asia’s largest column-free space in the form of a multi-purpose convention hall with 12,000 square metres of space. The exhibition hall offers another 12,000 square metres of space, which can be subdivided into three smaller halls.

Events

Several high-profile events and exhibitions have been held in the venue, including the WTO Ministerial Conference of 1996, which was held just a year after the building was completed. The World Economic Forum’s East Asia Economic Summit has been held there several times. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the building consists of two office towers. The 50-storey North Tower has a height of 245 metres, while the 29-storey South Tower has a height of 140 metres. The total floor area of the office towers combined is 148,000 square metres (1.59 million square feet). The complex incorporates a podium block, a hub car park and a 4,180 square meter (45,000 square feet) subterranean retail mall which is linked to the Raffles Place MRT Station. The building was completed in the third quarter of 2006.

Anchor tenants in the South Tower include Barclays Capital (occupying the top floors), ABN Amro and Deutsche Bank. Tenants in the North Tower include Credit Suisse (many floors), Google (25th floor), Fitness First (8th floor), Scotiabank (20th floor), UBS, Reuters and Ernst & Young, among others.

The North Tower is linked with a covered pedestrian bridge to the condominium The Sail @ Marina Bay, which is to the South of One Raffles Quay.
